The Managed Device Solutions Solution Architect holds a pivotal technical leadership role, responsible for architecting the managed device solution roadmap of capabilities for end users and IT managers. This role helps customers modernize the management of their fleet to reduce cost, improve quality, and drive improved workforce experiences. This role reports into the Solutions Management team within the Managed Solutions business in HP Solutions. This role sets technology direction and drives solutioning activities across a global team of technical resources from multiple functions such as Managed Services, Professional Services, IT, and Sales to deliver managed device solution capabilities globally and at scale. This includes using technical expertise to craft scalable, flexible, resilient, and secure solutions that drive a step change in the management of devices.
The Managed Device Solutions Solution Architect has deep technical expertise in end user computing and a proven track record of developing and executing products and solutions. This role requires an understanding of technology trends, market landscape, and HP's portfolio to convert our solutions into differentiated value propositions. This role also requires someone who has excellent communication skills to interact with key opinion leaders, customers, business units, IT, and sales teams and accelerate adoption of our managed device solutions.
The Managed Device Solutions Solution Architect is a thought leader internally and externally to share perspectives on transforming the workplace and embracing the Future of Work through managed device solutions. This includes playing a lead role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, publishing white papers, blogs, and running customer enablement sessions.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Drives innovation, advocates best practices, and aligns managed device solutions for higher business value; articulates customer business value and collaborates with peers to define the vision and desired services.
- Architects managed device solution capabilities to meet customer needs and goals by integrating value-added services designed to be secure, reliable, efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable
- Leads and coordinates inter-tower capabilities linkage and optimization, and directs governance activities and high-level reviews.
- Identifies potential risks associated with the proposed solutions and orchestrates the broader HP team to address technical blockers and works with other key stakeholders to resolve non-technical issues. Develops a way forward in complex and ambiguous situations with an innovative approach and durable design.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to pre-sales and sales technical communities, ensuring the realization of end-to-end managed device solution development and delivery. Leads external architect community events and shares learnings with internal teams.
- Builds relationships with key IT and business executives and stakeholders, communicates technology value, addresses CXO issues, and defines and guides negotiation practices of technical contract elements used in client negotiations; acts as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Evangelizes and promotes adoption of managed device solutions across sales account teams
- Conducts market research and stays current on technology trends to develop a managed device solution roadmap that is valued by customers and differentiated in the market.
- Supports Managed Device Solution Product Managers in developing and executing product GTM strategy
- Supports Managed Device Solution Product Manager in managing P&L for managed device solutions, including driving top line revenue double digit growth and bottom line efficiency
- Serves as trusted advisor in C-suite / exec level technical discussions about HP's managed device solution capabilities (requires deep knowledge of end user computing and ability to communicate at executive and practitioner level)
- Provide thought leadership internally and externally on end user computing and how HP managed device solutions will transform the future of work

The base pay range for this role is $115,850 to $178,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and / or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
