Assembly Technician
HP Tuners LLC is a global leader in the automotive aftermarket, developing software and hardware for vehicle calibration.
The position will assemble and disassemble components using basic hand tools. They will work to fulfill orders, create and maintain documentation for the department and customers, kit and maintain inventory.
HP Tuners LLC maintains a 1 shift, Monday through Friday onsite operation with potential overtime. A strong desire to maintain a 40-hour work week exists. This position is located on site in Buffalo Grove and all assembly operations will occur in an HVAC controlled environment.
This position reports to the Production Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Using demand planning techniques, determine work priorities and production schedules.
- Assembly of small electronic assemblies using basic hand tools
- Disassembly of small electronic assemblies using basic hand tools
- Visual quality control reviews
- Using automated computer programs to transfer data
- Kitting and packaging of products
- Documenting completed work
- Inventory upkeep functions
Skills and Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development required
- Previous work in a manufacturing environment desirable is preferred.
- Ability to use small hand tools
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ability to perform visual quality control inspections
- Ability to plan and manage inventory levels.
- Soldering and diagnostic tools experience a plus but not required

Compensation and Benefits
At HP Tuners LLC, we understand that compensation plays a key role when considering a new opportunity. We are dedicated to ensuring fair pay for all employees and continually work towards greater transparency in our compensation practices. The estimated base rate range for this position is $18.00-$19.00 per hour, with actual pay determined including factors such as location, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations. This position also qualifies for a discretionary bonus and a complete benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, paid time off (PTO), and a 401(k) program with employer matching.
