PCA Personal Care Assistant

Summary

We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Harris Professional Care. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients, assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your contributions will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a personal care assistant or similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of geriatric care principles.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of emergency medicine is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $11.14 per hour
