- HPI Production Department Transfers Supervisor Role
As New York’s largest licensed processor in the highly cannabis regulated sector, the Production department is HPI’s most robust, and its success is dependent upon our ability to move quickly and efficiently. The Production Department Transfers Supervisor will oversee the internal movement of all inputs and Finished Goods both in and out of the department. This process is managed both physically and digitally via ERP software.
As cannabis products are manufactured, the Production Department inbounds and outbounds various inventory components on a constant basis, primarily to/from: Bulk Cannabis (Vault), Finished Goods (Distribution), and Non-Cannabis Inventory (Packaging) departments. Concise and expedient internal transfers with attention to inventory control is paramount to efficient operations. Because of the state-mandated track-and-trace system, this role requires a manager who has exceptional organizational and systems management skills. Additionally, it requires superb communications skills as this manager interfaces daily with several external departmental supervisors. This role is a direct report to the Director of Manufacturing and collaborates frequently with the Manager of Finished Goods.
- Responsibilities:
- Confirm and Accept all Internal Inbound Transfers to Manufacturing (Bulk Cannabis Inputs and Packaging Materials)
- Verify contents and quantity of all inbound transfers, both Bulk Cannabis Inputs and Packaging.
- Accept transfers within Distru (ERP).
- Organize, store, and maintain all inventory accepted onto the Production floor.
- Complete all necessary transfer paperwork and worksheets.
- Generate all Internal Transfers Outbound from Manufacturing (Finished Goods, Bulk Cannabis, and Packaging Inventory)
- Gather any excess bulk cannabis or packaging inventory not depleted during manufacturing process and prepare for outbound transfer.
- Create transfers in Distru (ERP).
- Oversee physical transfer to the receiving department and ensure paperwork is complete on the receiving end.
- Complete all necessary transfer paperwork and worksheets.
- Utilize Track-and-Trace Integrated ERP system for Digital Transfers
- Exercise competent usage of HPI’s ERP system, especially pertaining to the Transfer and Label Printing functionalities.
- Utilize Production Software to Track Progress
- Daily use of Production Software to track progress (Trello, Google Drive, etc.)
- Assist and Oversee Transfer Employees
- Ensure all inventory is properly gathered or kitted for transfers.
- Ensure there are no mistakes on printed labels.
- Regular Cross-Departmental Communications
- Communicate daily with other Manufacturing supervisors as well as Compliance Director to ensure cohesion and flag any potential issues before and as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in software implementation and general IT skills.
- Inventory management experience highly preferred.
- Ability to uphold manufacturing policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to details, counting, and data management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
