What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Cert Scheduler Full Time position at HPIP Beacham (100105)?
Full Time Pre-Cert Scheduler needed for a high volume interventional pain management physician in North Oklahoma City
- Monday-Friday, no weekends or major holidays.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling new patient and follow-up appointments
- Verifying orders, authorizing procedures via web or phone
- Pre-certify and schedule diagnostic testing and procedures
- Ensure all criteria met for reimbursement
- Scan and index patient records into EHR
- Mailing correspondence and work comp report forms
- Managing referrals
- Works closely with referring physicians and hospital
- Various other duties include: answering calls, scanning, updating information in Epic and assist coverage in clinic as needed, faxes, etc.
Requirements
- 1 year medical eligibility/pre-certification experience required
- Must be organized and dependable, be able to work independently yet in a team atmosphere and possess a compassionate and caring attitude towards our patients
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic) a plus
- Experience in pain management is highly preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent required (GED)
