The expected pay range for the Sales and Technical Associate is $21.15 to $25.45 an hour. The pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity, and other factors relevant to the job.
This is a remote position based in Hawaii on the island of Maui or Oahu. The successful candidate must reside on Maui or Oahu.
HPM Building Supply is seeking to hire a full-time Sales and Technical Associate to support the sales team with processing sales orders, answering customer inquiries, updating and maintaining customer databases, ensuring order and invoice accuracy. Additionally, provide technical support during installation and servicing of various security system technologies, including video surveillance, alarms, sensors and access control systems, which includes supporting internal operational processes in this business line.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license required
- Proven experience installing and maintaining security systems, including video surveillance, alarm systems, alarm panels, access control systems, sensors, and related security technologies, preferably in a similar role
- Experience in basic networking, which may include Ethernet cable installation, management of Layer-1, Layer-2, and Layer-3 networking, installation and repair of switches, Power over Ethernet devices, DHCP, IP, and security fundamentals including firewalls, VLANs, ACLs, etc.
- Related technical certifications are preferred, but not required
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background screening and drug test, in accordance with applicable law.
