Job Details
AWS Cloud Networking Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our global network infrastructure within AWS. This crucial role aims to ensure high availability and robust connectivity across our network, supporting the company's operational needs and strategic goals.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Designing scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures within the AWS ecosystem
Collaborating with security teams to enforce network security measures and ensure compliance with internal policies
Collaborating with consumer teams to design and develop network patterns based on application requirements
Automating network deployments and operations using scripting languages, such as Python, and infrastructure as code tools, such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
Regularly assessing network performance, address bottlenecks, and provide solutions for network optimization
Developing and maintaining disaster recovery strategies and participating in regular DR testing to ensure a rapid response to network outages and failures
Monitoring network costs and implementing cost-saving measures where possible to optimize spending
Staying informed about AWS networking updates and service offerings, reporting back recommendations to stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
3 years of experience in cloud networking, with a focus on AWS
Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Python or Golang
Expertise in infrastructure as code tooling; at least one of Terraform, Cloudformation or Ansible
Strong proficiency in AWS networking tools and services, including VPCs, Direct Connect, Private link, Transit Gateway and Route53
Solid understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and services offered by AWS
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and findings to technical and non-technical audiences
