What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical/Adminstrative Medical Assistant position at HPW Center for Diabetes?
HPW Center for Diabetes is looking to hire a full-time administrative/clinical medical assistant. Work week will be 40 hours. We are a fast pace, high volume clinic with multiple locations. We are looking to hire someone who is motivated, has great communication skills, can multi-task, flexible and is highly dependable. Training with an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred. Job responsbilities:
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
- Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
- Mostly doing administrative tasks but will be crossed trained to room and fill in where needed.
- Handling Prior Authorizations, pump, DME paperwork, checking voicemails and faxes.
- Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
- Downloading patient insulin pumps and sensors
- Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders.
- Ability to be adaptable and work well in a fast past enviroment.
Job Qualifications:
- Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person
- Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively
- Attention to detail.
- Technological skills, such as using EMR systems to properly document patient information and vitals.
- Interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
