What are the responsibilities and job description for the ENGINEERING INTERN position at HQ Aero Management?

Summary :

HQ Aero is currently recruiting for ENGINEERING INTERNS in BRIDGEPORT, WV

Responsibilities :

As an Engineering Intern, you will be required to :

Review engine build and disassembly processes for compliance with the technical publications.
Review tooling used for assembly and disassembly processes for compliance to company standards.
Review blueprints for in-house designed tooling and preparing reports for review of the tooling staff engineering team.
Assist the engineers with development of substantiation packages detailing the outcome of tooling reviews.
Present to site leadership on project status.
Assist with procurement of new tooling.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements :

Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year towards obtaining an Engineering degree (Mechanical and / or Aerospace field preferred).

Prior experience reading mechanical blueprints preferred.

Prior experience working with machine tooling for aerospace or automotive assemble preferred.

Prior machine shop or metal working experience preferred.

Local Candidates preferred.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

Job Type :

Contract, part time ( hours per week)

Essential Job Functions

Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.

Physical Demands : The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and / or climbing.

Work Environment : Aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
