What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at hq bbq & hot pot?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Enter orders into the POS system and ensure accuracy
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions about the menu
- Upsell additional items or specials to increase sales
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
- Clear tables and reset them for the next customer
- Process payments using cash register and handle cash transactions
- Collaborate with other servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Skills:
- Experience using OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus
- Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and bill calculations
- Excellent hospitality skills to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to assist with bussing tables during busy periods
- Proficiency in operating POS systems for order entry and payment processing
- Cash handling experience with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and ability to help out in various areas as needed
