(HQCS) provides 24/7 residential care to kids with intellectual/developmental disabilities, who benefit from support with possible: emotional self-regulation challenges, anger management, development of self-regulation skills, the formation and maintenance of healthy relationships, compliance with probation/diversion plans and/or substance abuse prevention, medication management, health care, and/or access to mental health services.

We are hiring for Part Time PM (3PM-8:30pm) and Part timeawake overnight (4:30pm-8:30am) shifts.
Qualifications:
Be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to obtain Criminal Record Clearance and Department of Justice (DOJ)/FBI/CACI fingerprint clearance
Pre-employment physical exam with medical clearance by a physician (including negative TB test or x-ray result)
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Ability to walk significant distances (eg 2 miles)
Proficient in reading and writing in English
Ability to meet both Title 17 (Regional Center/Department of Developmental Disabilities) and Title 22 (Community Care Licensing) requirements
Must currently live in the area (we will not interview applicants who are not physically "here" yet)
Minimum Driving Experience: For drivers, must have a valid CA driver’s license, be over 23, provide current registration and insurance, and meet insurability requirements of insurance carrier
Education/Experience:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Skills:
CPR/First Aid
Direct Support Professional (DSP) 1 & 2 within the first year of employment
CPI certification within first two weeks and ability to participate in emergency interventions during situations involving imminent danger
Ongoing training and supervision
Ability to maintain positivity in stressful situation and see the glass as half-full
Job Duties:
1. Provide intervention, direct care, training and supervision to residents in a specialized residential setting as outlined in each Individual Behavior Supports Plan (IBSP) and Individual Program Plan (IPP)
2. Provide support to kids with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges with any of the following: implementation of daily routines, cooking, activities of daily living, hygiene tasks, recreational fun, social skills, communication, medical/health appointments and tasks, leisurely activities, household chores, reduction of possibly intense unsafe/interfering behaviors, increase of replacement skills, and exploration of interests, passions, and hobbies, etc. (and do it all with a smile)
3. Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and assist in the ongoing daily delivery of interventions and skills training (this may include walking for long distances (eg 2 miles, brief jogging, and participating in emergency intervention procedures)
4. Implement interventions designed by a multidisciplinary team within the realms of function-based, positive behavioral supports and mental health supports!
5. Provide for the physical care, training, continuous supervision and recreation of residents
6. Assist clients with prescribed medications, while maintaining required documentation and complying with agency policies and procedures
7. Provide assistance with housekeeping and chores; utilize infection prevention standards and procedures as well as adherence to universal precautions
8. Ongoing written documentation and collection of data
9. Collaborate professionally with residents, colleagues, consultants, other agencies, families, social workers, and professionals involved in residential treatment
