As we continue to expand our presence in the market, we are seeking an organized and results-driven Quality Control Specialist to ensure that all products meet company and regulatory quality standards before reaching the market. They will develop and implement quality control policies, manage inspection processes, and lead a team to maintain high-quality production standards. They will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory teams to ensure product consistency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality control policies, procedures, and standards for consumer goods.
- Conduct inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Supervise and train the quality control team to ensure consistent quality monitoring and inspections.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Investigate product defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain documentation and reports related to quality control and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, HACCP, etc.). SQF and hazardous material handling experience a plus.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- 5 years in quality control/quality assurance, preferably in consumer goods
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and root cause analysis tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance regulations (FDA, SQF, ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, Hazardous material handling, etc.).
- Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to detect product defects and inconsistencies.
- Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or Green Card holder).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and reaching.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification.
- Experience with automation and digital quality control systems.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability practices in manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
