EEO Counselor - Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
Experienced EEO Counselor with a demonstrated track record of effectively addressing and resolving workplace discrimination complaints. Expertise lies in conducting comprehensive investigations, meticulously analyzing materials and documents, and conducting interviews with all involved parties to produce detailed reports of findings. Possesses a deep understanding of the EEO complaint process, procedures, and deadlines, ensuring timely and precise service in accordance with CFR and MD 110 Guidelines provided by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and federal agency policies, processes, and standard operating procedures. Key Expertise includes Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to gather and analyze data from various sources to develop comprehensive reports that meet federal regulatory requirements.
As a neutral party, adept at providing aggrieved individuals with a clear understanding of their rights and obligations under EEO laws, rules, regulations, and client policies. Capable of attempting informal resolution when Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is unavailable or accepted. Skilled in drafting EEO Counselor's reports and facilitating informal settlement discussions between management and aggrieved individuals while adhering to established procedures and ensuring fairness and transparency. Strict adherence to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality for highly sensitive data / information. Proficient in drafting letters and general correspondence, essential for keeping records thorough and facilitating communication.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide updates and prepare and submit weekly status reports to the assigned program manager.
- Conduct telephone, in-person, video interviews, or prepare interrogatories.
- Proactively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with client case managers and investigators.
- Spellcheck, proofread, and edit, draft and final reports and prepare case files in accordance with EEOC MD-110, client, and HR Anew requirements; then submit the draft or final report of investigation to the assigned HR Anew Program Manager for quality review.
- Establish priorities, be organized, and meet or exceed timelines.
- Review and respond to all emails received the same business day or within 24 business hours.
- Manage private, sensitive, and confidential matters.
- Function in a high performing environment, as part of a team and individually.
