Who We Are: Midway, LLC is a family-owned company that provides a range of services, including financial, facility, and farm support for both commercial and residential properties. We also operate Graham and Tooze, a farm store. Our Facility Department takes care of two residential properties with a variety of animals, including chickens, goats, alpacas, sheep, horses, and more. The team is dedicated to supporting these animals, even during extreme weather conditions.

Who You Are:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with small and large farm animals, including handling and medical care
- Significant experience in horse care
- Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable attendance to ensure consistent animal care
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer and office equipment skills
- Physically able to walk, stand, and lift up to 75 pounds
- Must pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
What You’ll Do:
As a Farm Hand/Animal Caretaker, you’ll work under the guidance of the Lead Farmhand and Facilities Manager, assisting with routine animal care and structured grounds maintenance. You’ll operate farm equipment, help maintain property cleanliness, and perform preventive maintenance as needed. Flexibility and the ability to follow instructions are key.
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, monitoring for injuries or illness, mucking stalls, cleaning dog kennels, and processing eggs
- General farm upkeep, including maintenance of fences, paddocks, pastures, shelters, barns, and buildings
- Mowing, weed whacking, and maintaining the landscaping and cleanliness of the property
- Operate farm equipment as required
- Perform daily work order checks and record information in the company database
- Learn and follow standard preventative maintenance procedures for buildings
- Maintain animal care paperwork and inventory paperwork
- Communicate with your supervisor and team as required to ensure timely updates on key tasks and responsibilities.
- All other duties as assigned, including adapting to new tasks as required to support the farm and facility needs.
