What You'll Do :
As a Digital Flatbed Cutting Machine Operator, you will handle the set-up, operation, troubleshooting, final inspection, and assembly of the graphic material in an on-time, complete, and error-free way.
Your Accountabilities in the Role :
Reviews the production order, design files, and blue prints with the material allocated to ensure accuracy and a high-quality product that aligns to the customer specifications.Sets up and operates digital flatbed cutting machines according to job specifications, with adherence to the layout, schedule and safety requirements.Reviews the production order and job specifications, and loads the appropriate material onto the cutting table, to ensure an accurate product and minimize waste / rejects.Performs the set-up, operation, troubleshooting, and change-over, adjusting cutting parameters, blade settings, and vacuum functions to ensure optimal performance and efficient output.Continually verifies measurements and inspects the material quality to ensure adherence with customer specifications and to minimize waste / rejects.Prepares the finished product for the next step, adding paperwork / labels, with gently rolling and boxing material, where appropriate.Completes production records and material tags after the production run, ensuring complete, accurate and thorough information.Inspects the finished material / roll to ensure the deliverance of a high-quality product.Collaborates and / or mentors others to continually help build the skillset of the team.Maintains a clean and organized work area for efficient processes.Supports other areas of Operations, as needed, for the mutual success of the team.Position Requirements :
Education : High School Diploma, GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Experience : 1 years of related experience operating computer-driven machines preferred; will train the right person.Certification(s) : N / AFunctional Skills : This role requires the ability to perform machine set up, operation, change-over and light troubleshooting. High attention to detail with an ability to read and understand documents, procedures and blue print specifications, along with the ability to match part numbers accurately. Basic math and counting skills are required. This role also requires strong prioritization skills, attention to details, as well as an ability to multi-task (running a machine and assembling product at the same time), with creative, problem-solving skills to think through issues in a fast-paced environment to meet output goals.Technology Aptitude / Skills : Basic computer skills, data entry, basic machine operation.Language Skills : Basic reading, writing, and verbal English communication skills.Leadership / Behaviors : Strong work ethic, energy level, pace, and values; strong focus on the customer, quality and accuracy, with the flexibility to move to priorities throughout the operation areas, following all Safety requirements.Culture Match Behaviors : Likes to work independently and with a thoughtful, caring team; enjoys collaborating with others; can listen to others, learn quickly, and be independent to get the job done, yet flexible to adjust to the schedule, department location, or pace to meet the needs of production, while making good decisions, is highly important to our team.Other Important Information :
Pay / Salary : Hourly position based on skills
And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!Reports To : Production Supervisor
Core Hours : 5 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm; Half-day on Friday
Typical Work Week : M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week on average during peak times.
