What You'll Do:
As a Store Supervisor, you will oversee daily retail operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, customer service, and store safety. This role ensures product availability, compliance with food safety regulations, and a positive shopping experience while coordinating with vendors and farm management to maintain accurate stock and pricing.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Monitors stock levels regularly and places orders with vendors to ensure product availability and prevent shortages.
- Receives deliveries and manages stock rotation to maintain product quality and minimize waste.
- Conducts regular inventory checks to accurately track stock and identify discrepancies.
- Hires, trains, and schedules retail staff to ensure efficient store operations and excellent customer service.
- Delegates tasks, monitors staff performance and provides feedback to support productivity and professional development.
- Greets customers, answers questions, and processes sales transactions to deliver an excellent shopping experience.
- Promotes special offers and provides product information to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Ensures cleanliness and organization of the store to create a welcoming and safe environment.
- Manages compliance with food safety regulations, including monitoring freezer temperatures, product dates, and stock rotation, to uphold health and safety standards.
- Coordinates with farm management on product availability and pricing to ensure inventory and pricing are current.
- Monitors and addresses safety concerns, such as spills, slippery entryways, and snow-covered sidewalks, to prevent accidents and ensure a safe shopping experience. Maintains and updates store signage and displays to keep promotions and product information current and visually appealing.
Position Requirements:
- 3 years of supervisor experience in a retail industry (Some experience in the food and/or health & wellness industry preferred).
- Knowledge of regenerative farming or sustainable foods would be a plus.
- Strong proficiency with POS systems and sales principles are required (Experience with Square system preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a proven ability to connect with customers.
- Ability to lead and supervise a small group.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively - (this is a new role for us, so we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and doesn't need a lot of structure).
Other Important Information:
Position Pay: Hourly position based on experience
Reports To: Director of Customer Care
Core Hours: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Hours will vary)
Typical Work Week: Tuesday to Saturday; 32-36 hours/week (Store closed on Sunday)
Direct Reports: 3 Store Associates
Work Conditions: Retail Store Environment
