Job Title: Warehouse Clerk/Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4PM Temp to Hire Wage: $18.00 – $20/HR
Position Summary: Handles customer orders from various types of customers to include but not limited to retail, wholesale orders for Food Service (vending companies and distributors), orders from the US Military, and sales activities for Central and South America. Processes orders. Interacts with brokers, regional sales managers, and members of the warehouse's shipping and accounting departments. Handles high volumes of emails and phone calls daily.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides customer service support functions to include: filing, POD issue resolution, special order requests, maintain client/customer/broker lists, communicate late payment information, verify credits, communicates order issues with warehouse plants in California, Virginia, and Texas.
- Processes/Inputs orders for assigned accounts, order changes and cancellations. Checks inventory. Places back orders as needed. Double-checks prices, pallet quantities, lead time, et cetera on each order.
- Cross-checks daily order entries performed by co-workers and compare to proof as well as provide one's own work to co-worker for proofing.
- Provides daily information to Brokers on shortages, overages, late or missing orders, etc.
- Tracks late orders upon request and provides information to requestor.
- Processes credits and debits.
- Communicates with Laguna, Virginia, and Texas warehouses on late deliveries and missed appointments.
- Handles shipments and payments for Central and South America. Negotiates shipping dates base on inventory of flavor changes.
- Confirms shipments with trucking companies and distributors
- Creates and mails invoices and verifies invoice payments
- Signs calculation and Value Manifests
- Will perform basic translation between English and Spanish
- Provides customer service support functions for the warehouse military business including communication between the distributor and commissaries for orders and payments.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification and Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in a similar capacity. Military order processing and billing experience highly desirable.
- Experience/Knowledge of SAP highly desirable.
- Bilingual English Spanish highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Beginning to Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word and Outlook
- Able to learn and work with company SAP system accurately and efficiently
- Must possess excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills, superior interpersonal skills, and be able to work with sale managers, company managers, coworkers and customers in a positive professional manner.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
