Job Summary:
The Distribution Clerk is responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies within the facility. This role ensures that all materials are accurately inventoried, stocked, and delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner, supporting the hospital’s daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inspection: Accept incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and check for damages or discrepancies.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, track supply levels, and assist in replenishing stock as needed.
- Stocking & Distribution: Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring easy access and efficient retrieval for hospital staff.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and deliver supplies to hospital departments based on requisitions and urgent needs.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Update inventory systems, record transactions, and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain teams, vendors, and hospital departments to ensure the timely availability of materials.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow hospital protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe and organized storage environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in distribution, inventory management, or materials handling is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transport materials up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
