Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will provide expert care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to laboring patients and their families.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health during labor and delivery.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and support obstetricians in surgical procedures (e.g., C-sections).
- Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals as needed.
- Educate patients and families about the labor process, pain management, and postpartum care.
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Current and valid RN license in Florida.
- Minimum [1-3 years] of experience in labor and delivery or related field.
- BLS and ACLS certification (NRP certification preferred).
- Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Specialty certification in obstetric nursing (e.g., RNC-OB).
