Compensation Range
$74,000.00 - $116,000.00
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the the Illinois Salary Transparency amendment to the Equal Pay Act of 2003,. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports Project Managers with the day-to-day needs of municipal clients, including phone/email communication, permitting, and coordination tasks.
- Assists with engineering design work related to roadways, water main, sanitary, and stormwater systems.
- Learns and applies permitting processes and local code compliance for municipal projects.
- Assists with plan review, grant writing, and grant administration.
- Uses professional judgment to complete engineering tasks within federal, state, and local criteria.
- May assign and manage tasks and schedules to junior engineers or design team members under the guidance of a Project Manager.
- Ensures accuracy of work using established HR Green QA/QC processes.
- Identifies technical, schedule, or financial issues and communicates with the Project Manager.
- May assist clients with bidding and contractor selection processes.
- Monitors construction projects and supports field personnel as needed.
- Responds to contractor questions and prepares project addenda when necessary.
- May contribute to the preparation of engineering service proposals and cost estimates.
- Demonstrates a willingness to assist the team with critical deadlines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience.
- Municipal experience strongly preferred.
- EIT required; PE licensure preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential for working with clients, public officials, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required.
- MicroStation and BlueBeam experience preferred.
