Distribution Team Member

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Distribution Team Member, employed by HR MGMT 10 LLC as the Employer of Record, will work on-site at one of our brand partners' cannabis production facilities to support all product distribution activities. This role is responsible for loading, packaging, and preparing cannabis products for shipment, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing the cannabis industry. The Distribution Team Member will work closely with the Distribution Manager to ensure that all shipments are prepared accurately and efficiently, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and operational goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in distribution, packaging, or logistics roles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and Packaging for Distribution:

• Assist in the loading and unloading of cannabis products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with packaging and labeling requirements.
• Prepare and package cannabis products for distribution according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure that all products are securely packaged, labeled, and documented correctly before shipment to maintain product integrity and compliance.

Support Shipment and Manifesting Activities:

• Work with the Distribution Manager to prepare shipment manifests and verify that all information is accurate and compliant with state-mandated systems such as METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance).
• Assist in maintaining detailed records of all shipments, including product quantities, destinations, and transportation details, to support regulatory audits and inspections.
• Ensure that all distribution activities comply with local, state, and federal cannabis regulations, including proper handling and transport requirements.

Inventory Management and Organization:

• Maintain a clean and organized distribution area, ensuring that products are stored properly and inventory is managed efficiently.
• Assist in inventory counts and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate inventory levels for distribution.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to the Distribution Manager for resolution.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently to support loading and unloading activities.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on distribution equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and report any malfunctions to the Distribution Manager.

Compliance and Safety:

• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training sessions and drills to stay current on emergency response procedures and best practices.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or potential hazards to the Distribution Manager or Facility Manager.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the Distribution Manager and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient distribution operations.
• Communicate effectively with other departments, including production, packaging, and inventory, to coordinate distribution activities and address any issues.
• Provide support for additional distribution or warehouse tasks as needed to support overall facility operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in distribution, packaging, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic understanding of distribution and logistics practices, especially in regulated environments such as cannabis, food, or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus; certification is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 21 years old.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required state-specific certifications for distribution roles within the cannabis industry.
• Physical ability to perform typical distribution tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
