METRC Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

The METRC Operator, employed by HR MGMT 10 LLC as the Employer of Record, is responsible for managing and maintaining compliance with METRC, the state-mandated seed-to-sale tracking system, at a specific production, cultivation, or retail facility for our partnered cannabis brand. This role involves ensuring accurate data entry, inventory tracking, and regulatory reporting within METRC and the internal ERP system (Airtable). The METRC Operator will work closely with various departments to ensure all cannabis products are accurately tracked from seed to sale while maintaining compliance with state and local regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cannabis inventory management, compliance, or similar regulated environments, with strong attention to detail and proficiency in data entry and system maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure all cannabis products are accurately tracked and reported in METRC and the internal ERP system (Airtable).
• Maintain compliance with state and local regulations regarding cannabis cultivation, production, and sales.
• Run reports and conduct audits to verify data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Submit required reports to regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.

Inventory Management:

• Enter and update inventory data in METRC and Airtable, including plant and package tracking.
• Reconcile physical inventory with METRC and Airtable records to maintain accuracy.
• Manage product transfers and create manifests for shipments.
• Tag and track plants and products from seed to sale, ensuring proper documentation.

Data Entry & System Maintenance:

• Record all necessary information regarding product testing, waste disposal, and sales transactions.
• Ensure that all required METRC tags are properly assigned and affixed to plants and products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any errors or discrepancies in the METRC system.

Training & Collaboration:

• Train staff on proper METRC usage, compliance procedures, and inventory tracking protocols.
• Communicate with regulators, inspectors, and auditors as needed for compliance verification.
• Collaborate with cultivation, processing, and sales teams to maintain accurate records and streamline workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certification in compliance, data management, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, compliance, data entry, or a similar role, preferably within the cannabis industry.
• Familiarity with METRC or other seed-to-sale tracking systems is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and other data management tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 21 years old.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required state-specific certifications for compliance roles within the cannabis industry.
• Physical ability to perform tasks related to inventory management, including standing, lifting, and operating digital tracking tools.
