JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Control (QC) Team Member, employed by HR MGMT 10 LLC as the Employer of Record, will work on-site at one of our brand partners' cannabis production facilities. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and quality checks to ensure that all cannabis products meet the brand partner’s quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The QC Team Member will follow the direction of the QC Team Lead and Quality Assurance (QA) team to maintain compliance with state and local regulations and ensure that products are consistent, safe, and of high quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience in quality control, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Inspections and Testing:
- Perform routine inspections, sampling, and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet the brand partner’s quality standards and specifications.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and testing protocols to conduct tests for potency, contaminants, and other quality metrics.
- Record and document test results accurately, reporting any deviations, non-conformances, or issues to the QC Team Lead.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all quality control activities comply with state and local cannabis regulations, as well as the brand partner’s quality standards.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inspections, tests, and results in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
Equipment Maintenance and Calibration:
- Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and cleaning of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the QC Team Lead for prompt resolution.
Safety and Hazard Management:
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), handling of hazardous materials, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay current on emergency response procedures and safety practices.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the QC Team Lead, Quality Assurance team, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient quality control operations.
- Provide input and feedback on potential improvements to QC processes and SOPs.
- Assist with other production and quality tasks as needed to support overall facility operations and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or technical certification in chemistry, biology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality control, laboratory, or production environment, preferably in the cannabis, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must be able to accommodate a 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM) or 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday, 3PM-11:30PM) schedule.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required state-specific certifications for quality control in cannabis production.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs and perform tasks typical of a laboratory environment.
