JOB DESCRIPTION
The Receptionist, employed by HR MGMT 10 LLC as the Employer of Record, will work on-site at one of our brand partners' cannabis retail locations to manage the front desk and check-in process for customers. This role involves greeting and verifying customers, managing the flow of customers into the sales area, ensuring compliance with cannabis regulations, and providing a welcoming and professional first impression of the store. The Receptionist will work closely with the Retail Manager and security team to ensure efficient operations and a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, experience in a customer service role, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a regulated environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Check-In and Verification:
- Greet customers as they enter the store, verify identification to ensure they meet the legal age requirements, and check them into the system in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Use point-of-sale (POS) or check-in software to register customers, track visitor counts, and manage customer flow into the sales area.
- Ensure all visitors provide valid identification and complete any necessary forms or waivers before entering the retail area.
Maintain a Professional Front Desk Presence:
- Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression to customers and visitors, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed upon arrival.
- Answer phone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and provide information about store hours, product availability, and promotions.
- Assist customers with basic information and direct them to the appropriate team member or department for more detailed assistance.
Compliance and Security Support:
- Follow all cannabis retail regulations, including those related to customer verification, entry restrictions, and tracking.
- Collaborate with the security team to ensure only authorized customers enter the sales area and that any issues are addressed promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all customer information and data in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Customer Flow and Wait Time Management:
- Manage the flow of customers into the sales area by coordinating with the sales and security teams to ensure a smooth and orderly process.
- Monitor the waiting area and communicate estimated wait times to customers to enhance their experience.
- Keep track of the number of customers in the store to comply with capacity regulations and maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
Store Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and stocked with any necessary forms, brochures, or promotional materials.
- Ensure that all customer-facing materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with company branding and regulatory requirements.
Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with the Retail Manager, security team, and other staff members to coordinate daily operations and address any issues that may arise.
- Provide regular updates to the Retail Manager on customer flow, potential issues, and opportunities to improve the customer check-in experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in retail, customer service, or a front desk role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance requirements.
- Basic proficiency in using POS systems, check-in software, and MS Office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required state-specific certifications for cannabis retail roles.
- Physical ability to perform typical front desk tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
