Job Summary:
As the Admissions Director, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, overseeing the entire admissions process. You will play a vital role in promoting our facility, ensuring smooth transitions for incoming residents, and maintaining high occupancy levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Admissions Process: Guide families through tours, assessments, paperwork, and move-in preparations.
- Build Relationships: Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere for families and residents, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with nursing, social work, and administrative staff to coordinate new admissions.
- Promote the Facility: Network with hospitals, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to increase referrals and maintain strong relationships.
- Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements throughout the admissions process.
- Track Occupancy Goals: Monitor census and develop strategies to meet admissions goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, social work, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in admissions, sales, or marketing in a healthcare setting (nursing home experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an empathetic approach.
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and insurance processes is a bonus.
