Position Overview :
As the Director of Thought Leadership and Research, you will be responsible for establishing our agency as a leader in the experiential marketing space. You will oversee the development and execution of strategic research initiatives that inform our marketing strategies, drive innovation, and enhance our brand's credibility. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative vision, and research expertise, as well as a deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
Key Responsibilities :
- Thought Leadership Development :
Create and implement a thought leadership strategy that positions impact XM as a leading voice in the experiential marketing industry.
Lead research initiatives to gather insights on industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies in experiential marketing.
Foster relationships with industry influencers, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance Impact XM's visibility and credibility.
Collaborate with marketing, creative, and client services teams to ensure alignment of thought leadership initiatives with client needs and agency goals.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of thought leadership and research initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job may have supervisory / oversight responsibilities commensurate with job obligations.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) in Marketing, Communications, Market Research, Data Science, Business, or a related field from four-year college or university; and 7 years' experience in a marketing or research leadership role, preferably within the experiential marketing or advertising sector or similar experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, news, whitepapers and other marketing materials. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to write compelling copy and manage marketing material creation.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software, Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook.
