POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of warehouse inventory. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Inventory Control:
Ø Gather and analyze data concerning the reconciliation of physical inventory, cycle counts, and shipping errors.
Ø Conduct physical inventories
Ø Investigate customer claims of overages/shortages
Ø Review stock availability
Ø Prioritize projects based on dates needed by
Ø Update status reports
Ø Manage schedules
Ø Monitor emails/communicate with customers
Ø Print labels
Ø Work closely with Customer Service
Ø Run weekly/monthly hold damage reports and reconcile.
Ø Coordinate and control all product notifications, recalls, and mock recalls with Customer Service Manager.
Ø Customer Service:
Ø Respond to customer inquiries regarding inventory status
Ø Investigate and resolve customer claims of overages/shortages
Ø Investigate and resolve customer claims of incorrect receipts
Ø Data Entry and Reporting:
Ø Generate reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and other key metrics.
Ø Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
Ø Clear communication on inventory findings and suggestions for improvement
Ø Other:
Ø Assist, when necessary, with case selection layout, provide direction and follow up.
Ø Provide assistance to VAS Lead as needed.
Ø This position is an ALL TYLER position – it will require to travel as needed to other Tyler facilities to perform similar duties.
Ø Sanitation, Security:
Ø Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Ø Assist in maintaining warehouse security and sanitation.
Ø Conduct operations in a manner that promotes professionalism and safety, and is in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Ø Protect proprietary company information, such as rates, contracts, documents, etc.
Ø Safety and Compliance:
Ø Adhere to all safety and security procedures.
Ø Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Ø Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies.
EQUIPMENT USED
Ø Is able to operate, train, and coach others on all equipment used in their area of responsibility.
TEAMWORK:
Ø Collaborate with other departments, such as receiving, shipping, VAS, and customer service.
Ø Cross-Training as a Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Ø Assist other team members as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
Ø High School Diploma Required
Ø 1 year experience in an inventory control/stock accounting in a warehouse/distribution environment required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ø Previous (WMS) Synapse experience strongly preferred. Radio Frequency (RF) or related experience is strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft office. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, prioritization and problem-solving skills essential.
Ø Must be able to handle stress, fast paced, high volume environment. Must be able to shift priorities easily.
Ø Special Requirements: Must have excellent work habits and pass any pre-employment tests, drug test and background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ø Must have the ability to lift and/or move office and warehouse supplies, receivable items, shipments and equipment and files ranging anywhere from 5 – 50 lbs.
Ø Fine hand manipulation – typing, writing, may assist with packaging of items
Ø Must be able to place outbound calls and answer phones, talk/speak and listen coherently
Ø Must be physically able to open filing cabinets and bend, stand, balance, stoop or twist as necessary.
Ø Vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision.
Ø Ability to walk around the warehouse to gather information (frequent walking)
Ø Must be able to stand and sit for 8 hours
Ø Must not have a fear of heights – required to get on a lift for inventory counts
Ø Travel – must be able to operate his/her own vehicle to travel to other Tyler locations
