We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Learning and Development to lead and manage our client's learning and development programs. This individual will be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that foster employee growth, enhance skill development, and drive organizational success. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in L&D or related fields, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving the design and execution of impactful learning solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the overall learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead a team of L&D professionals and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth across the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to assess learning needs and align training programs with business objectives.

Learning & Development Program Management:

  • Design and implement comprehensive learning programs for leadership, technical skills, and professional development at all organizational levels.
  • Oversee the management of internal and external training vendors, ensuring the effectiveness and alignment of content and delivery methods.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness and impact of learning programs through metrics such as employee engagement, retention, and performance improvement.

Talent Development & Succession Planning:

  • Partner with HR and leadership teams to identify and develop high-potential employees and prepare them for future leadership roles.
  • Create and manage a succession planning framework that integrates learning and development initiatives.

Training Needs Assessment:

  • Lead organization-wide needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop customized training programs that address specific needs and enhance employee performance.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in learning and development to ensure the company’s programs remain innovative and competitive.
  • Implement new learning technologies (e.g., LMS, mobile learning, virtual classrooms) to enhance learning experiences and accessibility.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to L&D staff and ensure their professional growth.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance team environment, driving excellence in execution.

Budgeting & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost-efficiency.
  • Track and report on budget performance, ensuring program effectiveness within financial parameters.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Learning and Development, Talent Management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing learning programs across diverse functions.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to drive change, influence others, and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach to leadership.

Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
