The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
Collaborates with Product and IT Leadership to build a strategic roadmap for platforms / systems supporting DaVitas strategic business units. Aligns IT strategy, investments, and plans with the business goals and objectives.
Effectively communicate IT strategy and vision with C-level executives, business leaders, and IT leaders
Develops and maintains enterprise architecture in alignment with the overall IT vision, supporting the information needs of the business and / or may manage and perform research and discovery activities, vet ideas, explore and validate emerging technologies, trends, and possibilities relevant to strategic and technical direction while supporting business innovation and playing the role of a change agent
Partners with product and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions. Partners with Solution Architects to provide a consensus-based scalable and adaptable architectural solution
Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company. Manages and / or facilitates Architecture Review Boards to evaluate technologies, design patterns, and solutions.
Communicate and provide data architecture / business expertise to other associates during system development; ensure systems data architecture is compatible with existing and future enterprise data architecture.
Partner to develop strategies and roadmaps for AI & machine learning and other advanced analytics areas (e.g., natural language processing, ML platforms, data lakes)
Create and articulate future state data platform vision via all the relevant architecture & design artifacts. Help validate these proposed future state architectures with proofs-of-concepts and / or MVPs.
Provide technical expertise to design scalable data marts, data lakes and data warehouse solutions, including addressing and resolving complex technical issues
Provide formal technical guidance and informal assistance to engineering teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with highly skilled technical individuals.
Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas with Senior IT and business leadership
Extensive experience in Data Architecture work, including executing at least 3 large-scale Data platform modernization and / or Data Migration projects from inception to production.
Several years of enterprise data integration and management experience working with Datawarehouse technologies, Data pipelines, and cloud data platforms
Deep knowledge of GCP cloud data platform technologies
Clear overall experience and industry knowledge : distributed systems, mobile, middleware APIs, highly available architectures, data / service virtualization, master data, data warehousing and enterprise reporting
Working knowledge of microservices architecture & domain-driven architecture
Proven track record in successfully implementing solutions using distributed streaming platforms such as Kafka
Experience with event-based and message-driven distributed system
Familiarity with Enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, including certification on TOGAF or similar methodology.
Healthcare industry experience that fosters better requirements aligned to common standards and regulations (HL7, FHIR, CCDA, and HIPAA) is preferable
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
10 years of information technology architecture experience.
5 years of experience in an enterprise architecture leadership role, architecting complex enterprise solutions either in a cloud environment or equivalent.
5 years of experience in application design and development including using at least one of the object-oriented languages such as .NET C#, Java, and REST services
2-3 years of hands-on experience in architecting and designing data solutions leveraging GCP technologies like BigQuery, Dataflow, GCP Pub / Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataplex, Cloud SQL, or Spanner
4 years of enterprise data strategy development, data analytics
8 years of deep solution architecture with a focus on data technologies
2-3 years of working knowledge with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks
Working knowledge of BI analytics tools like Tableau, Looker
Recent strong experience in AI / ML, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs)
Data modeling, Datawarehouse, data lake, and DataMart architecture experience
Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
Experience in driving solutions that map to the global target architecture, standards, and roadmaps in distributed hardware, operating systems, and cloud computing
