We are seeking a Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional to provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and / or child members presenting with a broad range of psychiatric needs. This role collaborates with physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment & Treatment :
Conduct mental health evaluations and develop treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental illnesses.
Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.Administer specialized therapeutic procedures as appropriate within the scope of practice.Patient Education & Support :Instruct patients and their families on compliance with therapeutic regimens and medication adherence.
Offer support to families, including guidance on treatment and interventions to enhance treatment acceptance and adherence.Documentation & Compliance :Prepare and maintain confidential intake summaries, treatment plans, case summaries, and progress notes.
Ensure documentation adheres to state regulations, NCQA standards, and community best practices.Collaboration & Consultation :Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patients for psychotropic medication use within the scope of practice.
Utilize public and private resources to address the treatment needs of members.Provide consultation on mental health and behavioral medicine to care providers and health educators.Supervision & Program Development :May supervise Post-Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors if qualified to do so.
Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental programs.Community Resource Integration :Refer members and families to public and private agencies and community resources as appropriate.
Safety & Reporting :Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies as required by law.
Participate in on-call rotations as needed.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Education :
Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.Licensure & Certifications :
One of the following :
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California)Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) AND Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hireNational Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.Experience :
Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis.Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions.Skills & Knowledge :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice, psychotherapy methods, and bio-psycho-social factors influencing mental health.Understanding of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional standards.Ability to diagnose accurately and create effective treatment plans.Proficiency in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives in a timely manner.Additional Requirements :
Knowledge of patient rights, member confidentiality, and applicable regulations.Must be able to work in a Labor / Management Partnership environment.Preferred Qualifications :
