Job Description:
HR Recruiting Services is currently seeking a highly qualified Tax Manager/Senior Manager for a leading company in Tustin, CA. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
Location: Hybrid - Need to be close to work onsite or hybrid (hybrid is 3 days in office and 2 days at home)
As the Tax Manager/Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's tax compliance and planning. You will work closely with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and provide guidance on tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all tax compliance and planning activities for the company
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Develop tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liability
- Review and advise on tax implications of business transactions and investments
- Communicate with external tax advisors and authorities as needed
- Train and mentor junior tax team members
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impact to the company
- Participate in special tax projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax department
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Experience with tax planning and compliance for corporations and partnerships
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software
