Medical Graft Tech - Cellular - Second Shift

Grade 3 Second Shift: Mon - Friday 1400-2330Our Traditional processing technicians transform the donor gift of musculoskeletal tissue. In this area, technicians will produce grafts for various customers using bandsaws, drills, etc. Each graft is produced to specific tolerance; sometimes to the mm and are then ran through a series of cleaning agents to reduce bioburden prior to final packaging. Technicians in this department additionally, produce FFP (for further processing) grafts that help to support production within additional subdivisions of the department.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Processing Technician  Ensure allograft tissue is accurately processed, measured, labeled, packaged, and documented in a timely manner.  In conjunction with Quality Control, responsible for operating and ensuring processing equipment is in good working order.  Traditional Processing equipment includes, but is not limited to, band saws, drills, scissors, scalpels. Specialty Processing equipment includes, but is not limited to, skin meshers, TMI bone grinding equipment and vacuum sealers. Accurately monitor time-sensitive processes with regard to allograft tissue manufacturing. Assist in orientation and training of new employees as assigned. Complete assigned tasks in the processing area in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned.   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Processing Technician I High school diploma or equivalent required.   Processing Technician II All the Education and/or Experience requirements of a Processing Technician I. Minimum (6) six months as a Processing Technician I. Completion of a Processing Technician II training module track. Maintenance of KPI requirements required. Contact specific department management for additional requirements.   WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Requires heavy lifting, continuous levels of standing and is physically demanding. Some areas of Manufacturing may require the ability to work around high magnetic circuits or magnetic fields. Requires good eye-hand coordination skills. Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.     DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in related field. Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) or two years of previous tissue allograft manufacturing experience. Knowledge of processing anatomy and sterile techniques is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work within a team setting and possess the ability to receive and follow directions. Demonstrated ability to report numbers accurately and monitor error control.
