Our client, a prominent food manufacturing company located in York, PA, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager. This role is responsible for supporting the VP of Human Resources with all HR functions, and acting as a strategic partner to internal teams. The HR Manager will ensure the effective management of HR policies, procedures, and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the recruitment process, including conducting interviews and making hire recommendations, to maintain a highly qualified and diverse workforce.
- Conduct and/or coordinate exit interviews to identify reasons for employee separations and provide insights for improvement.
- Partner with department managers to address personnel-related matters and offer HR guidance.
- Investigate employee grievances and complaints, working toward fair resolutions and fostering a healthy work environment.
- Develop, update, and enforce company policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with organizational values.
- Advise on policies related to equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
- Oversee and maintain records required by law, government reporting, and internal departments.
- Ensure company compliance with the latest employment law changes and adjust policies and practices accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel transactions (hires, promotions, transfers, reviews, terminations) for compliance and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR Generalist or Management roles.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to maintain open communication with all levels of the organization.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Progressive HR generalist and leadership experience required.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
