As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely project completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential and commercial carpentry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence.
Duties:
- Site Management: Organize, supervise, and actively complete the daily operations on the job site, ensuring projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, adhering to blueprints, codes, and customer specifications.
- Material Management: Oversee the selection and procurement of materials, ensuring proper quantities and quality while maintaining budget control.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction and installation.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and company safety guidelines.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise on the job site, finding practical solutions to challenges and ensuring minimal project delays.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with clients as necessary, providing progress updates and addressing any concerns or adjustments.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on carpentry, electrical and plumbing experience.
- Skills: Proficient in a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, trim work, drywall, flooring, cabinetry. Solid knowledge of electrical and plumbing trades.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and construction methods.
- Tools: Experience using and maintaining carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment. Candidate should have their own basic hand tools.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Drivers License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and lift heavy materials as needed.
