As our Director of People and Operations, your responsibilities fall into the following five areas:
Strategic Focus:
- Execute CEO’s Vision: Implement business strategy through bi-monthly planning meetings reviewing health metrics and priorities
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting and accounts
Project Management:
- On Time and On Budget: Meet project management goals effectively by delivering projects on time and on budget
- Client Expectations: Build and maintain strong relationships as our ‘Client Ambassador.’ Define project scope and timelines
- Work Scheduling: Coordinate with Professional Services to maintain 80% utilization
Service Management:
- Effective Meetings: Lead weekly huddles, project updates, and alignment meetings
- Performance Tracking: Ensure departments meet targets
- Process Improvement: Identify and resolve inefficiencies and provide clear client communication
- Daily Operations: Oversee staffing, administration, and strategy for smooth workflows
People Management:
- Leadership & Growth: Foster growth and autonomy, team alignment, and focus on core values
- 1-on-1s & Reviews: Conduct bi-weekly check-ins and assist with annual reviews
- Accountability: Hold team members responsible with a "trust but verify" approach
- Hiring & Firing: Collaborate with the CEO on staffing decisions
We believe you should have the following skills to be successful in our Director of People and Operations role:
- No less than 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role demonstrating your ability to direct, coach, build, develop, and manage others
- Project Management experience is essential to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects, while effectively managing resources and timelines.
- Ability to leverage exceptional people skills to connect, communicate, mentor, build trusted relationships, and provide the utmost level of customer service
- Proven track record of achieving organizational objectives, driving operational efficiencies, and high-quality performance
- Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to adapt leadership style to accommodate team members' natural tendencies
- Solid understanding of how organizations evolve with the ability to navigate change management
- Capacity to reason through mechanical principles with a passion for metrics and process improvement
- Ability to envision and implement proactive measures to solve problems, mitigate conflicts, and troubleshoot complex situations
- Proven ability to multitask, manage, prioritize, organize, plan, focus, adapt to changes quickly, and follow through
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of honesty, integrity, and equity
- Microsoft Office Suite/Teams super user
Bonus points if you have any of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Operations experience within a company running on an EOS structure
