What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Manager position at HR Solutions Group?
Are you an experienced Human Resources Manager (HR Manager) with a background in talent acquisition, training, benefit administration, leave management, and employee relations? Are you looking for a position where you can utilize your experience to coach and mentor employees, and collaborate with a team of managers? HR Solutions Group is leading a search for one of our clients.
As our HR Manager your areas of focus will include, but not limited to:
- Provide recruitment support for direct hire positions including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens, extending offer letters, and processing pre-employment screenings
- Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding and offboarding
- Develop, administer, and maintain HR policies and procedures to establish a culture of teamwork and health and safety
- Provide oversight for training programs including identifying training topics, developing training programs, and evaluating the effectiveness of those programs
- Train and advise managers on policies and procedures
- Administer employee benefits including employee communications, annual renewals, enrollment, invoice verification, qualifying event changes, and COBRA administration
- Handle employees’ request for leave of absence, including proper documentation and administration of FMLA and short-term disability
- Handle employee relations, concerns, counseling, and discipline
- Collaborate with leadership to develop effective strategies and programs aimed at enhancing employee retention
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Manage all HR recordkeeping including, but not limited to employee files, accident and injury reporting
- Ensure accurate, complete, and comprehensive documentation is maintained in the HR System
We believe our HR Manager will need the following to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business with a minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience
- Seeks to build relationships with leadership, management, and employees in a company environment
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and major online hiring platforms with a proven record in sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing candidates
- Benefits administration experience strongly preferred
- Outstanding communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
- Ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members' skills and abilities
- Strongly values teamwork and cooperation
- Exceptional organizational skills, attentive to details, and accountable
- Ability to work under pressure, navigating competing priorities, changing situations, and multiple tasks
- Highest level of integrity, business ethics, and interpersonal leadership qualities
