Job Summary
We’re looking for a Warehouse Manager specific to the automotive industry. This person is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of regional warehouse facilities, ensuring efficiency in logistics and supply chain operations, and effectively managing personnel. This role is critical in driving the success of the automotive distribution network within the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the operations of warehouse facilities.
- Implement strategies to optimize inventory management, storage, and distribution processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within warehouse operations.
Logistics:
- Coordinate and oversee the transportation and delivery of automotive parts and products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
- Analyze and optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Personnel Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations/disciplinary actions and implement training programs for team members.
- Manage staffing levels effectively to meet operational demands.
Operations Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement operational plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure that operational targets are met.
- Act as a liaison between corporate headquarters and local branch to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
Customer Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers and address any service issues promptly.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support business growth within the region.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse and logistics performance to management.
- Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven experience in personnel management and team leadership.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with automotive parts and products is a plus.
