Our client is currently seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate to join the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group. The position is open to North Carolina, with a strong preference in Charlotte.
We also are open to reviewing candidates in South Carolina.
The firm's nationally- and internationally-recognized Private Wealth team is headquartered in the Carolinas. Candidates should have at least 3 to 6 years of experience working primarily in the field of estate planning and / or estate administration.
A willingness to learn areas of the law as necessary is required.
Candidates will support a sophisticated practice, serving ultra-high net worth clients. Preference will be given to candidates who have specific experience related to the foregoing - including drafting irrevocable trusts, investment partnerships (LLCs) and advanced transfer strategies - and / or who demonstrate a sincere interest in such tasks.
Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
Candidates must be licensed in North Carolina and / or South Carolina. Having a LLM in either estate planning or tax is preferred.
