The Opportunity :
- Uncompromised Safety - Communicate and advocate 100% Uncompromised Safety expectations and requirements.
- Acquire plans, read specifications, and prepare estimates.
Research the cost of materials, transport, labor, and equipment.
Secure quotes from vendors and the Purchasing Department for required materials.Evaluate schedules, workloads, weather, manpower availability, and their impact on potential projects being estimated.Assess the risk levels associated with each project.Coordinate with other departments as needed.
Organize and prepare scope of work description and price proposals or bids.Participate in estimate reviews with other estimators prior to submission.Prepare project budgets once the project is awarded.Participate in project handoff meetings for awarded projects.Travel to assigned projects as needed to gain a better understanding of work progress.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.Experience : 10 years of progressive experience as an Electrical Estimator.Extensive knowledge of the electrical industry, electrical materials, and construction methods, including requirements for different construction types.Thorough understanding of the National Electric Code.Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels, including client companies, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.Proficiency with Estimating Systems (McCormick preferred).Strong computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, MS Project, etc.).Ability to maintain bid / estimate log systems.Positive, customer-focused attitude.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Current Drivers License.How to Apply :
