Bardes Plastics is on the lookout for an experienced Tooling Assembler to join our dedicated team. Bardes manufactures a variety of custom thermoformed plastic containers and if you have any experience in working with tools used in the plastics industry, you may have found your next job!! Job Function :
- Assemble and disassemble existing and new production tooling.
- Coordinate work duties with production scheduling and tool room scheduling.
- Inspect tooling for defects and damage and perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, die sharpening, and minor repairs as needed.
- Using proper forms, submit to the tooling department requests for major repairs or replacements of tooling components.
- Follows safe work practices and wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating powered hand tools and tool room machines such as vertical milling machines, drill press, band saw, and other machinery used to perform work.
- Use a variety of precision measuring devices to verify accuracy or work.
- Assist tooling department with producing prototype samples for customers as needed.
- Complete and submit to the tooling department supervisor all required documents, reports, forms, and other required paperwork.
