The cook assists with inventory control, and maintains a clean or organized safe kitchen environment. This position is responsible for preparing the food in an appetizing and appealing manner.
Job Description
- Assist in the receiving, rotation, and storage of products
- Prepares cooked food in accordance with nutritional guidelines, regulations, and residents’ individual prescribed diets and food preferences
- Assist in fostering residents’ independence with eating by providing adaptive equipment when needed
- Notify Dir. of Food and Beverage or any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food in accordance with infection control standards
