As a Resource Attorney, you will not engage directly with firm clients and will not bill time. This role is ideal for an experienced M&A attorney with a passion for supporting legal teams in a non-client-facing capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and input deal terms into revamped Transaction Database; collaborate with the knowledge management team to maintain and audit the database.
- Draft or update template documents, curate, organize, and manage forms, precedents, and other M&A practice resources.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes in the M&A space; prepare legal alerts and summaries; ensure all practice resources are updated accordingly.
- Coordinate with legal education team to develop content for associate training and firmwide M&A training efforts.
- Collaborate with the M&A marketing team to strategize on promotions, contribute to blog content, and assist in creating marketing materials for pitches and presentations.
- Respond to day-to-day attorney requests for precedents, templates, and resources.
- Participate in resource management, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Licensed attorney with at least 7 years of experience in US M&A corporate/transactional practice.
- Strong knowledge of public and private M&A, corporate governance, fiduciary duties, and market trends.
- Exceptional drafting and organizational skills.
- Ensure accuracy in form documents and quality control for document generators.
- Manage multiple projects, coordinating with attorneys and other stakeholders.
- Adapt to evolving resource initiatives and support new projects.
- Collaborate effectively with the senior M&A Resource Attorney.
