We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Telemetry/Med-Surg team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical management of patient care in the unit, ensuring adherence to medical, regulatory, and organizational standards. This role involves patient education, care coordination, and participation in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care while monitoring patients' conditions, identifying potential complications, and adjusting care as necessary.
- Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes prior to discharge.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in the electronic health record.
- Supervise and mentor unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring effective teamwork and the delivery of high-quality care.
- Assess physiological and psychosocial changes in patients and promptly communicate concerns to the physician.
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
- Participate actively in quality improvement and process enhancement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Collect blood specimens for laboratory analysis as part of diagnostic and treatment processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (Required)
- BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program (Preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse License (Required)
- American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification (Required)
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
