Duties
- Schedule surgical procedures by coordinating with surgeons, patients, and hospital staff.
- Maintain accurate records of surgeries, including care plans and patient details.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-ups.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, providing information about services and addressing patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with medical receptionists to ensure seamless patient flow within the facility.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures related to scheduling and patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma is required
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is required
- Proven experience in a clerical role within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
