We're seeking thoughtful team-players to join our culinary team at Brutto Americano, an upscale Italian restaurant with a New Orleans flair located in the Warehouse District. Our chefs are passionate about creating an unforgettable experience for our guests.
The successful candidate will be responsible for meal preparation and assigned kitchen duties. Work hours/days vary as dictated by business needs, and may include weekends and holidays. Key responsibilities include planning and preparing various food items and meals for hotel restaurant and catering functions, understanding food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality, assisting with quality and presentation issues, cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and the restaurant, accommodating guests' special requests, maintaining clean work area, assisting with inventory, ordering and receiving of all Food & Beverage items as directed, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards.
Apart from these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also assist with coordinating catering reservations and food preparation with the sales department, ensuring guest satisfaction, and follow up on menu items and cost any special menu requests.
