Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team in Torrance, CA. This on-site role is critical in managing client accounts, handling benefit renewals and providing day-to-day support to ensure our clients' needs are met with precision and care.
The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of account management experience, hold an active Life and Health Insurance license, have strong knowledge of Excel, and demonstrate expertise in managing COBRA, FSA, and HSA administration, along with experience managing Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance plans. The candidate must also be able to present and perform open enrollment meetings both in-person and virtually, as well as use quoting tools independently to prepare and analyze quotes.
Core Responsibilities :
- Fully manage client accounts, including enrollment, renewals, and ongoing service needs.
- Build and maintain Benefit Administration platforms (Ease, Employee Navigator) and manage other platforms as required.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing COBRA, FSA, and HSA administration, along with experience managing Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance plans.
- Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and general agency partners to ensure smooth processes and resolve any issues.
- Present and perform open enrollment meetings, both in-person and virtually, ensuring clients and their employees fully understand their benefits.
- Use quoting tools independently to prepare, analyze, and deliver quotes to clients.
- Develop professional documents, including PowerPoint presentations, employee handbooks, and client proposals.
- Handle audits, employee enrollments, terminations, and qualifying events with precision.
- Update carrier websites with employee changes and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
- Use advanced Excel skills to create and update spreadsheets, analyze data, and prepare reports to support client needs.
- Design and deliver effective marketing presentations and employee communications.
- Peer review all client-facing documents to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a proactive approach to monitoring and resolving outstanding client issues.
