Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development and delivery of OD assessments, interventions, and leadership development solutions in collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide professional expertise in areas such as team building and facilitation, change management, coaching/mentoring and organizational assessments.
  • Support and participate in strategic initiatives or cross-group complex projects contributing to the overall organizational strategy.
  • Lead and participate in significant leadership and organizational development programs with a broad scope, ensuring an integrated systems approach and achievement of desired metrics.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and research best practices to ensure the development, continuous improvement, and use of innovative solutions in developing leaders.
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of programs to ensure return on program investments.
  • Develop and implement training programs using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodology for training program development, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Meet with training customers and coordinate development of training plans or programs.
  • Coordinate with appropriate outside training and educational organizations and agencies to evaluate and select appropriate external training resources when needed.
  • Represent the Learning and Organizational Development organization on project teams or company initiatives that contain training elements and assist in developing training delivery strategies.
  • Provide facilitation services to departments through the ability to effectively lead group discussions, such as focus groups and teams of employees.
  • Work collaboratively to design organizational development intervention strategies that deliver innovative and insightful, yet practical solutions for a range of simple to complex challenges.
  • Identify and utilize data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks, and performance targets.
  • Link organizational goals and strategic objectives to appropriate learning interventions to promote greater organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead marketing program efforts through the organization to enhance employee awareness and participation.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, training, instructional design, or adult education or related field or equivalent training and experience. At least 8 years of professional-level experience.
  • Extensive experience in organizational development, adult education in developing content and/or curricula, presentation skills, coaching and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations, DOE Orders, and other guidance documents for training and instruction, specifically those impacting nuclear activities.
  • Experience in supporting large-scale change initiatives and interventions.
  • An ability to build trust with key stakeholders, influence senior leaders, and build partnerships with teams with different priorities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; an ability to lead highly visible and complex initiatives without direct ownership of resources.
  • Ability to synthesize and distill information into recommendations in a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.
  • Expertise to think both at the strategic and operational level to develop actionable plans and recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude and service orientation with an emphasis on working in a team environment, effectively interacting with people of diverse backgrounds, thinking and behavior styles and positively influencing others by action or example.
  • Must possess a polished and professional presence with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically, exercise sound judgment and demonstrate considerable tact and poise.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to integrate different ideas and approaches to come up with creative solutions.
  • Effective project management skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a proven track record of completing challenging projects with aggressive deadlines.
  • Experience conducting classroom or small group instruction effectively for adult audiences.
  • The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Work at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada) is required in support of these functions. 
  • Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Annual salary range for this position is: $97,448.00- $148,616.00.

 

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
