**Hardware Modeling & Analysis Group Leader**
We seek a self-motivated scientist/engineer with strong communication and leadership skills to serve as the Group Leader for the Hardware Modeling & Analysis Group within the Mixed-Signal Systems Solutions department at HRL Laboratories.
As first line manager, the candidate will guide team members' careers by providing opportunities for development and holding regular formal and informal feedback discussions.
The role consists of roughly 25% management and 75% technical contributions, including managing resources, improving group member performance, directing strategic planning, and contributing technically through direct work or project leadership.
Key areas of alignment include signal integrity and power integrity analysis, EM theory and modeling techniques, hands-on signal validation, and power delivery modeling.
**Required Skills:**
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role involving highly trained technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience with resource allocation and management.
- Experience with line management functions, such as drafting job descriptions, hiring staff, and providing critical feedback.
- Modeling and simulation skills, including competency with SI/PI CAD tools and circuit simulators.
**Required Education:**
- MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related scientific discipline.
**Compensation:**
The base salary range for this full-time position is $163,150 - $209,088 bonus benefits.
