Network Engineer 4

Job description

• Procure and install LiveScans statewide.
• Advise agencies as they define their LiveScan equipment and network requirements.
• Assist agencies to upgrade existing equipment.
• Create network connectivity between cloud-based LiveScan servers and agency LiveScans.
• Coordinate network connectivity and the configuration of state and agency systems to integrate these systems with cloud-based LiveScan servers.
• Coordinate activities with IT suppliers and state technical personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Advanced computer skills are required, particularly related to personal computer, PC peripherals and network technical support that aligns with the responsibilities summarized in the Job Description. In addition, strong candidates will have expertise related to advanced network administration concepts (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.); experience in troubleshooting computer software/hardware problems; advanced customer relations skills; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to control and manage several projects simultaneously; working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS outlook; and strong analytical and decision-making skills.
