Position Summary
Hartville Hardware is seeking an organized and customer-focused Kitchen and Bath Sales Support Team Member to support our Kitchen and Bath Designers throughout the sales process. This role ensures a seamless experience for customers by providing behind-the-scenes support, assisting with administrative tasks, coordinating product selections, and facilitating the delivery of outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about kitchen and bath design in a retail setting.
In the sales support role, you are tasked with setting up the environment and process for our designers. This involves everything up to the point of sale. As a Kitchen and Bath Sales Support team member, your motivation should be to see the department sales grow and our designers thrive. The best way to ensure this is to be in control of and managing the process up to the point of sale. It is your job to set the expectation with the customer.
This includes but is not limited to maintaining a well-kept showroom with current prices displayed, warmly greeting every customer that enters the showroom, asking the appropriate questions to determine the nature of their visit, and then guiding them through the sales process which should ultimately lead them to speaking with a designer to place an order. You can help facilitate a clean handoff to the designer by letting the customer know upfront that one of our knowledgeable designers will actually place their order.
You are welcome to and we encourage selling any stock items that a customer wants if a designer is unavailable. If the conversation turns from stock items into a special order then we would want to gather as much information as possible and hand it off to either the designer on the floor, the designer on call, or as a lead on the appropriate lead sheet.
We encourage team members to take ownership of sales involving in-stock or small special-order items, ensuring customers receive prompt and personalized service. For larger, more complex projects, team members are expected to recognize when to collaborate with or hand off the sale to a Kitchen and Bath Designer to ensure the customer's needs are fully met. This approach empowers you to deliver exceptional customer service while fostering teamwork on comprehensive project sales.
